Rates

The rate for single occupancy is $65 per weeknight and, $85 per weekend night. Double occupancy is an additional $20 per night.  There is an additional 14% City of Oakland Hotel Tax on daily and weekly bookings.  A $50 cleaning fee is charged for all bookings. Rates may change according to season.  Monthly rates are available. Maximum stay is 3 months. There is a 3 night minimum and no single night bookings.


Reservations require a 10% non-refundable deposit to hold the reservation. Deposit is payable through Paypal or by credit card.


Early check out is subject to a 50% refund. Cancellations are subject to loss of deposit or $25 inconvenience fee.


For arrivals after 9pm there is a late check in fee of $30.00

FAQ’s

How do I book a room? Simply call  the number above or click on the link ‘Email Me’ and send a request for the dates your interested in.  If the dates are available and your ready to proceed with your booking a 10% deposit is required and you can make your payment through paypal.


Where are you located? Please use the address at the top of this page or the map on the first page to get more info on our location. A landmark to use is the West Oakland Bart station. We are 4 blocks from there.


Is there parking? Yes, but it’s limited.  I am located in a residential neighborhood and in agreement with my neighbors there are specific places to park.  It’s usually about 1 block away.


Can I smoke? There is no smoking indoors but please feel free to smoke outdoors in the backyard.


Do you have a cooking facility? There is a full kitchen in the hostel that includes, cookware, dishes and utencils. Guest are required to clean up after themselves which includes washing their dishes before they check out.


Is the guest house clean? Guest are expected to clean up behind themselves mainly in the kitchen.  There is a house keeper that comes in at least twice a week to do a full cleaning of the bathroom, kitchen and common areas.


Is it safe and secure? Each guest has a key to their private room. The area is a urban transitioning residential neighborhood.  Guest should use travelers street smarts as they would when traveling anywhere in the world.
