Gallery ROOM

The current exhibition in this premium room is Straw Into Gold a collection of images from trailblazing hair artist Rosa “Malikia” Johnson who was the braider of Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, and Cicely Tyson. Each photograph in this bedroom is from Johnson’s private collection and features her braiding and hair sculpture artistry in a gallery-inspired setting.

  • Bed: 1 queen bed, upstairs

  • Bathroom: A stunning private bathroom is on the same floor. It has a large sunny window and a clawfoot tub.

  • Kitchen: Guests have access to the downstairs kitchen.

  • Garden: Guests have access to a wonderful backyard garden with a picnic table and benches, sun deck, flower and vegetable garden, and a stage that can be used for rehearsals, exercise or just relaxing in the shade.

  • Comfort: Wireless high speed internet, washer & dryer on site, free linen and blankets
